Description
Using the metaphor of a doctor listening to an ailing patient’s beating heart, visual artist Souad Douibi takes us through the streets of Algiers for a “check-up” on its inhabitants.

Souad Douibi
Souad Douibi is a visual artist, performer, and art therapy teacher. She graduated from the Higher School of Fine Arts of Algiers in 2008. Douibi exhibited regularly as a painter, photographer and videographer in Algeria and Europe between 2005 and 2011. After a break from the art world that lasted two years, she returned to the stage as a performer engaged in the streets of Algiers, but also an artist who is involved in social change through cultural and artistic activities.
