Ikuo Kato

Kato Ikuo is an independent Japanese animator who studied animation at university. After graduating, he continued to create animated films, working with TaMaNi Film, a collective dedicated to imaginative storytelling. His work is known for its creative use of claymation and glass-based animation techniques. With ‘Rice Ball Rice’, Kato brings his playful, tactile approach to life, sharing a love for everyday wonders through the lens of animation.
