Description

Pierre, a diligent project manager, is tasked with overseeing the construction of a large building. As pressure mounts to meet deadlines and expectations, safety concerns begin to surface, forcing Pierre to confront the moral complexities of his role. When warnings go unheeded, the potential consequences grow increasingly dire. In this tense social thriller, director Nicolas Panay brings into focus the ethical challenges that accompany modern urban development, exploring the personal and professional costs of prioritising progress over safety.

Director

Nicolas Panay

Nicolas Panay co-founded the "Court en Scène" Troyes International Short Film Festival in 2016, serving as its director and programmer for six editions. In 2022, he directed his first short film, ‘Breakpoint’, a social drama exploring the struggles of factory workers in a globalised economy. After its premiere at Clermont-Ferrand, the film was selected in nearly 50 festivals and won multiple awards, including the Unifrance Best Actress Prize at Cannes. ‘Alarms’, his second short film, continues his commitment to socially engaged storytelling, focusing on the humanity behind complex issues.
