Description

Four children from a refugee camp in Bethlehem yearn to see the sea for the first time. Facing restrictions and living under difficult circumstances, they embark on a journey driven by sheer imagination and determination. Their adventure becomes a symbol of resilience, capturing the spirit of children who, despite their realities, hold on to hope and the simple joys of life. Director Ibrahim Handal crafts a touching exploration of the power of childhood dreams in the most challenging environments.

Ibrahim Handal

Ibrahim Handal is a Palestinian filmmaker and cinematographer from Bethlehem. He graduated in Cinematography from Dar Al-Kalima University in 2019. Ibrahim has served as Director of Photography on several acclaimed short films, including ‘Bethlehem 2001’, ‘Ambience’, and ‘Between You and Me’. His directorial work reflects a deep connection to his homeland, with films like ‘Cold’ and ‘A Short Film About Kids’ capturing the resilience and dreams of Palestinian life. He is currently developing his first feature film.
