Moon
Special Screening - Ajyal Film Festival 2024
Description
Set in a remote Amazigh village, ‘Moon’ tells the story of Hasna and Samad, two 14-year-olds who find solace in painting and creative expression. Against the harsh, sun-baked landscape, their brightly coloured artwork and astronaut-like helmets seem alien to the local environment. Through their unique perspective, they reveal the beauty hidden in the everyday world. The film uses this visually compelling contrast to explore themes of isolation, resilience, and the pursuit of light in the darkest circumstances.
