Description
Paulette, a young girl, sees the same shooting star every night and wishes for the return of her mysteriously missing pet rat. Despite her nightly wish, the pet doesn’t come back, and Paulette begins to suspect that something might be wrong with her star. ‘Filante’ is a touching, dialogue-free animated short that explores themes of hope, loss, and wonder through a visually stunning journey across the night sky. The cut-out animation style adds an element of dreamlike beauty to this poetic tale.

Marion Jamault
Marion Jamault is an animator and illustrator based in Paris. After studying editing at the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel, she trained in animation at the Diplôme des Métiers d'Arts in Clermont-Ferrand and later at La Cambre in Brussels. Her animated works have been showcased at numerous international film festivals, including ‘Le Loup Boule’, which was screened at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival and the Tehran International Animation Festival.
