Description

This cinematic exploration of water’s essence unveils its beauty and power in a series of meticulously crafted vignettes. Beginning with clouds cascading over the Auvergne mountains, H20 traces the journey of water in its many forms: ice, snow, and the life-sustaining role it plays through irrigation. Shot in stunning, high-definition detail, this experimental short film honours water as an element we often overlook. With no dialogue, H20 invites viewers to meditate on water’s enigmatic and essential role in life and the environment.

Director

Alexis Jeannot

Alexis Jeannot, born in Auvergne, France, in 1987, initially pursued environmental chemistry before transitioning to a career in filmmaking. He spent four years working on air pollution in French Guiana, which inspired his dedication to environmental storytelling through film. After studying video at the École Agnès Varda in Brussels, Jeannot returned to Auvergne to establish Gagus Productions. His films, including ‘Our Ghost Rivers’ and ‘Story of a Narse’, explore environmental themes with a poetic touch, and ‘H20’ is his latest visual tribute to nature’s wonders.
