Description

Set in a comic book universe, ‘Diplodocus’ follows a young, adventurous dinosaur on a quest to rescue his family. His peaceful life is shattered by a mysterious fog that takes his parents away, prompting him to venture into unknown worlds. Alongside Hocus Pocus, the wizard, Professor Nervekowsky, and Entomology, the pilot, Diplodocus faces fantastical creatures and awe-inspiring landscapes. Together, they unveil the truth: they are characters in the comic series of Ted, a struggling artist pressured by his publisher to abandon his vision.

Combining 3D animation and a nod to Poland’s classic comic art by Tadeusz Baranowski, ‘Diplodocus’ is a heartfelt tale of self-discovery, imagination, and resilience. As Diplodocus and his friends strive to escape Ted’s eraser, they remind him of the joy in embracing one’s unique voice. This ambitious project—Poland’s first 3D animated feature—balances absurd humour and philosophical depth, making it both a family-friendly adventure and a reflection on artistic integrity. Wojtek Wawszczyk’s direction honours the legacy of Polish comics while charting new territory in animation.
