Description
This evocative documentary presents life in an isolated Amazigh village in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains. It follows sisters Khadija and Fatima, showcasing their divergent paths amid societal progress and cultural traditions. The film portrays their daily routines and conversations, capturing the resilience of a community steadfast in its customs while confronting inevitable change.

Tala Hadid’s work has screened at festivals around the world, including the Berlin International Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival and, among other venues, at the Museum of Modern Art and the Lincoln Center in New York City, the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis, the Cinémathèque Française in Paris and the Photographer’s Gallery in London. Her films have received numerous awards, among them an Academy Award. Hadid’s ‘House in the Fields’ had its premiere at the Berlinale.
